| haha I dont do that kind of music, but I accompanied some friends to 'The Lost Prophets' once and as I came back from the bar with my beer, weaved my way back to the front (where my friends were) I was dancing a personal, non-violent/mosher aggravating dance and all of a sudden I find myself in like a little clearing in all the people. Now I'd never seen one of these before (im more of a 2pac kind of music man) and out of the blue, theres me dancing and some sweaty, long haired feral creature literally smashed my beer out of my hand all over this really hawwt blonde girl.
I didnt know it was dancing or anything like that and my hand/wrist was in a lot of pain. So I took off my watch which is quite a heavy piece, (it was a sort of statement, wearing my G'd watch to a rock concert, my girlfriend had wanted me to like rock more and i was rebelling) anyway I wrapped it round my fingers like some knuckle dusters and cracked him right on the side of the face. I swear I made a beautiful red circle on his face, but it was quite dark. Anyway its turning into a bit of a brawl with both of us lying in beer and probably urine (the latter which disgusted me lol) kind of laying into each other. Others were joining in and in the end I kind of half walked half got chucked out, I think 'ushered' probably describes the mannor best. And that nob just waved at me and carried on doing his mosh thing.
Anyway, girlfriend hasnt offered to take me there again lol well we're not actually together anymore. The main thing I remeber from it was the band singing a song 'Standing on the rooftops' I think it was and then I got clattered lol
Anyway I think Lost prophets arnt even that moshy are they? Im sure there are much worse. Slayer are a moshy band arnt they? they look quite crazy on TV
But yeh, thats my story with mosh pits. Crazy phenomenons | |

| Reading festival (2004 I think) with lostprophets on the main stage. They split the front 50 or rows of the crowd apart down the middle, then started playing Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja and had the two sides rush each other. That was actually quite scary - I'm amazed noone got trampled to death. Edit: Goodfella - you beat me to it. And lostprophets are pretty moshy. Reading certainly managed it anyway | |

| Easily, without any doubt and by yards that would be Motorhead at the Bradford Alhambra no particular song as such just a mental gig from start to finish, I broke 2 ribs that night. Happy days RATM at glastonbury 94 was pretty intense too. At the legendary and now sadly defunct Stomp clubnight we got Hostile taken off the playlist due to overwhelming the first aid team every time it was played.. I also have memories of House of Pains Jump Around creating some crazy pits too. | |

| I saw Motorhead aswell KK! no doubt the loudest gig i've ever been to. but as a 14 year old i didn't really fancy going in a mosh pit with fully grown hells angels at the time lol |

| mines not an overly violent story, but something that made me laugh, I was at a local gig in my home town, and everyone in the building is moshing to this thrash metal style song, then. two guys suddnly appear in the room from the edge, and one is full on swinging the other one by the arms, like a huge lawnmower, it was hillarious cause as soon as they got near the crowd no one moved and the guy being swung just hit a wall of people and got trampled | |
